washing machine

Yesterday We didn't do much - kids played on their video games as ever. My lovely Linda & Toni came round, I was chatting with Linda about 2 hours while Toni cleaned out my deep fat fryer! Cos Nobody who lives here was gonna clean it!
My washing machine has been broken for ages but I was still using it...but it really is done for now & must be replaced. I was sad to hear Create has closed down. I have bought all my white goods there for a few years, they were second hand reconditioned, the staff were local people learning a trade.  I once got a gas oven there £40 including a years guarantee!
Prices had gone up in recent years but now I have to get a new washer. I love to try to be eco-friendly and wear my clothes til they fall apart, buy everything in charity shops & give everything back when no longer needed but i cannot manage without a washing machine! I would LOVE one of these hand powered versions

But I think we would be operating it 20 hours a day!
And I know handy people out there have fixed bikes up to drums,

This would be ideal for me, but you know USEFUL things that are good for people & the environment are never quite patented & distributed! DOH!
So thank the Lord, he always provides. We will go with a standard no-effort washing machine from the shops!
