Monday we did a little cycle each - not v nice weather. Mainly played video games, but R & F did their maths. Trying to help R learn how to turn a fraction into a decimal was traumatic - for me, not her! I have to always wear my glasses to even open a maths book & I start getting a terrible headache. We couldn't get it from either of our books so we looked it up online. I can read the explanations, (some with pictures!) and I know what all the words mean. But they do not make any sense to me, my eyes start hurting quite bad quite quickly. We move on, making a note to ask PW's husband (used to be a maths teacher) to explain that one to us sometime. My head/eyes stop hurting almost immediately.
I'm trying not to show my pain as R is perfectly capable of understanding this type of maths. The beauty of Home schooling. R will learn that bit of maths, another day, in another way. We can simply move on. She is doing well.
As for me- i think this is my dyspraxia. It's not a problem. It's just the way I am!
