Cycled to Sudley House

Tuesday morning I packed a picnic and we set off about 10am cycling to Sudley House. It is about 5 miles, we got there at 11.30 having met a friend on the way, who gave us ice-cream money!
I was meeting someone from home ed at 11. I couldn't see them anywhere so I rang, it turned out their trip to Sudley is Next Tuesday!  We had also arranged another friend to come, we put our blanket down and ate our lunch while waiting. it was hot & sunny. Then we went around the inside - yay- free entrance!  And it only took about 20 mins as no-one was very interested in anything except the toys & costumes.  Then we went for an ice cream & cuppa in their cafe which was nice & reasonably affordable: £1.50 each for a little tub of ice cream and £1.50 for a pot of leaf tea.
We ate it in the little walled garden, then our friends E & O turned up on their bikes, we had a super afternoon lazing around in the heat!  And then cycled home together.  Cycling as a group is actually rather stressful as the streets are no place for children! Obviously it IS worth doing, as the bus would cost me about £15 a day now with my kiddles, but the whole time we are cycling on normal streets I am working very hard to keep everyone alive!
That said, things sure go smoother when we remember to pray beforehand!Thank you, God, for keeping us safe!
We will be there again next Tuesday by the sounds of it!
