Pizza Hut & GAP

It was so fun to see my brother last night, he was in town working with an old friend from our childhood church. Dh & I went to meet them, had a drink & a pizza (Had to enforce my new intention of not drinking fizzy pop - I ALWAYS have a pepsi max in the Pizza Hut, that's where I started drinking it in fact.) So squash it was! And, of course, that was fine. Then afterwards we went in a pub, the rather snazzily-shaped Tavern On The Green, where I wanted a cup of tea, but they'd turned the hot drink machine off for the night (it was quite empty). Yes, I did ask if they had a kettle in the back. Nothing doing. So I ended up ordering a fizzy drink anyway, having completely forgotten about that.
My boys were in precious-next-door-neighbours for the evening. I am grateful to the Lord for her!

This morning we began with Bible Study, F was not really co-operating...we finally got it done & then I explained that we are going without video games for a week, starting today. For the good of our health! No-one was thrilled with this arrangement, and it will be hard work for me & DH to enforce. But it is necessary.
Then after BSF the three of us went upstairs to my enormous pile of clean laundry & we did folding & putting in piles, then putting away. Then R put some more washing in, and  she put all the ingredients of bread into the breadmaker, while F washed down the dining table.
Having completed these tasks, we were free to go to GAP, first time in a month, strangely I haven't missed it that much. After meeting with the lovely christian home edders last week, it really showed how the differing world views of the GAP home edders - mainly benign liberal/hippy/pagans, aren't that helpful to be around!
Well I prayed to glorify Him as I went - it is so easy to just Go, chat, and leave without any mention of the Only Hope Of Salvation for these people!
There were lots of people there, and as I vaguely introduced myself to a youngish mum, she cautiously mentioned she was a christian, So Am I! etc.
She had been praying to meet a christian there today! So Glad the Lord arranges these divine appointments! Yay!
I am collecting christian home edders to add to our support group.

Also I am praying about what the Lord would like me to cut down on, so I can be more available and energetic for home edding/general family stuff. I seem to have a conclusion, I am feeling very peaceful about, But I want to Be Sure I am doing/ not doing what He Wants.
I found this page very helpful this morning:
http://aplacecalledsimplicity.blogspot.co.uk/2010/04/how-to-hear-god-speak-part-1.html
It is a lovely lady explaining how to hear God speak. Coolz!
It is not long since I started really hearing Him speak. Yes, sometimes I'm not sure if it is really Him, but so far He has always said things I wouldn't have chosen! And He expresses His Love so clearly through His word, the Bible.
Go Lord! You are amazing!
