A meltdown & some cute babies

I've been struggling with my breathing a couple of weeks. It's so normal that I tend not to notice it's happening until there's a crisis. It's probably caused by the cold weather / putting the heating on in our house...think "burning dust", or forgetting to take my preventer inhaler a couple of times.

Tuesday evening I was sooo tired but determined to go to BSF - I encourage people to study God's word, hear his voice & trust Him! So it's definitely worth going even or especially when you're not feeling well, or you have an argument or whatever. To cut a long story short, F went into a rage & I didn't handle it well. I was handling him like a normal (!) child being disobedient. Only later did the word "Meltdown" enter my head. It didn't go well & I couldn't leave (Normally I leave the kids in the house about 5-10 mins between my lift coming & their dad getting home)

Bless 'im. And inevitably he was calm & happy by the time his dad actually got home about 6. 15pm.
My word. Thankfully because BSF have a good organised structure I knew there is a lovely person to step in and do my job for the evening. Thank the Lord for organisation!

One of the things that set F off last night, is that in the morning I told them we would be having a week free from video games. BECAUSE they are so dependent on them! So I guess F was just proving the truth!

Wednesday I gave my two students a little talk on listening for God's voice based on what Linny has written on her blog that I highlighted the other day. Then we did a little home school bookwork - music & maths,
then cute baby Poppy (10 months) arrived, and we took the free bus to Asda,
I got my eye test - Optician recommends I don't wear glasses, but monitor the headaches & go to the doctor.  Gah! (I tend to always get headaches after reading for a while)
Optician: how long has this been going on? Me: at least 15 years...
Then to R & S's house to see their new baby girl. She was gorgeous obviously. We actually didn't know what number they lived at, so had to knock at a few doors & make a couple of phone calls, but got there in the end!
Poppy was adorable, no trouble at all, she was so happy to be on the bus on my Ruby's lap! She sang/made a loud noise the whole way!
Then after she went I had to have a little sleep cos I had been up since 2am!
My life is quite silly!

I just got Jen Hatmaker's "Road Trip: a modern girl's bible study" to read through and consider.

Today my plans are: go buy something for lunch, cos the church women's group are coming 10.30 - lunch.  Let us wait and see what the Lord's plans are!

He is faithful. He is strong, His plans are better than mine! He will show His amazing love through my crazy, disorganised, exhausting life!
