Phew, it's been quite a day. Jojo had been wheezing last night, and was coughing a lot and complaining of pain. So I rang the Health Centre at 8.30am and they gave us an appointment at 9.50. A few weeks ago he had been wheezing & DH took him to the walk-in, and they said it was tonsilitis.
Well this Locum said Pneumonia? Gave us some amoxycillin and sent us for an x-ray. I gave Jojo a spoon of the medicine and we got in a taxi to Smithdown for the x-ray.
Half an hour later, passing the Asda there next to the York Health Centre, Jojo throws up the medicine (it's luminous yellow) all over his coat & trousers.
We didn't have to wait too long for an x-ray, then nipped into the Asda to get Jojo a little jacket - he wouldn't wear his coat and it was snowing.
He had a little bacon & mash in the Asda while i got the jacket.
All the while wondering whether to cancel tomorrow's trip to lancashire to Happy Chicks. Whether we could get our money back...
Well I rang the Drs and said he hadn't kept the amoxy down, and they said they'd ring back, but nothing's happened so far. Jojo is quiet, happy enough mostly, he's watching Brave now. His breathing is a bit laboured.
Bless that boy, he's hardly been a moment's trouble since the day he was born.
