Oxfam, housework, teens

Saturday morning DH & I went to Dobbies for our breakfast, then took a few boxes & bags to Oxfam, including the double pram, that has been hard to get rid of, cos you just never know when you might need to transport two young children without a car! Admittedly, that hasn't happened for a while, but it is feasible!

Then some cleaning & household chores got done by one and all. This is very hard work for mama, it is 100 times easier, quicker, less painful to do it all myself. BUT i was watching "16 kids and counting (UK)" the other night, this lovely lady Sue has got 16 kids and STILL DOES ALL THE HOUSEWORK HERSELF!* which spurred me to get kids doing things.
I got rid of a lot of stuff out of my bedroom, decanted the boy's clothes into the drawers, so wool is now in storage boxes under the desk. Hoovered, moving the bed around even, (hoping to find The Hobbit under there, but didn't).
Hoovering my room is rather hard work cos we have this slightly deep pile cream carpet (most foolish purchase ever) and you have to scrape the hoover end to raise the impacted pile. I don't do this v often.
Also I am struggling for breath as my blue inhaler ran out around Christmas & I've been making do on the dregs. Fun times!

That evening, exhausted from having a particular teenager, I was in bed by 9, only to listen to next door's teens ranting at each other, with a lot of door slamming. Thankfully, it appears I can fall asleep to anything, cos I did!

*apart from this I think she is doing brilliantly!
