This week's "Highlights" - Monday - Noah's Cafe - quite quiet, I made a victoria sandwich cake.
Tuesday, looked after lovely little Matilda, did lots of errands. BSF.
Wed - home schooling, and had the Boiler Man round, thinking of getting this hire-purchase-insurance deal from Everlasting Boilers (a division of A Shade Greener), where you pay about £8 weekly for 14 years (why 14?) and you get a boiler installed, and insured parts, labour, everything. Thinking about it.
Then our Halloween (National eat sweets day?) experience - as I mentioned here, I wanted to do something friendlier this year in my role of representing Jesus. So I got in about £10 of sweets & put them in a bowl, which F decorated with gold star stickers. Then when people knocked I smiled & stuff while offering the sweets. It's not rocket science. It didn't win any souls, but it is better than what I usually do! I had intended to decorate the door up with some pumpkin / lantern / bats but didn't quite prepare ahead enough.
Needless to say we enjoyed having a big bowl of sweets in the house, we certainly do eat less sweet stuff recently, so we appreciated it more.
Lil wanted to watch "What to expect when you're expecting" (12) so I told the boys to go play upstairs or something. they were messing about in the hall, the halloween excitement was in them. Jojo appeared with a canvas bag over his head, saying it was his costume. Then Fred put on this bright green mask off a magazine, and got inside a suitcase (I think he was trying to rise from a coffin?) and then he wanted to hoover inside our boot bench, so he could get in there. You're welcome to! I was pretty pleased with them for doing some active imaginative play for once.
