Sunday I took Junior Church, i had 5 x 5-7yr olds, we were doing Solomon/Adonijah, it was about doing things God's way, we had fun. My activities didn't quite fill the time, so i was giving them each a donkey ride on my back when one of the mums came in...!
Afterwards the lovely person who took the 8-11yr olds came up to me smiling with intent, so i was like, What did Fred do this week...? anyway apparently F had just walked off in the middle of it, the Lovely person followed to see where F was going, he just went in & sat in the sermon.
A couple of hours later I asked F what had gone on, he very seriously told me that he hadn't liked the leader's tone of voice and "So I came straight to find you, like you said. But you weren't there." And I listened very seriously. Then he lightened up and got a yoghurt out of the fridge. "Mum, because you didn't laugh when i was explaining it, I AM going to use a spoon for this yoghurt." he proclaimed. What a reward!
Later Lola & I went for her first ride on her new bike - i do need to take the seat down an inch or two. We went to Halewood triangle park, which is 2 miles away. it was lovely & sunny. I said "If we just cycle up the loop line a little bit we will be at Belle Vale" BV has a shopping centre with plenty of cheap shops. (Obviously they aren't open on a sunday evening). So up we went, had a muffin & orange juice and then cycled back. We were dead on 2 hours and cycled about nine miles altogether.
