Can we really trust Jesus?

We had some horrible news this week - a beloved friend has cancer.  With all the awful things that brings, the pain, sadness, upheaval, Every waking moment it is there.  I didn't help by accidentally broadcasting it on Facebook.
We are downcast. But we have hope. Our hope is in Christ Jesus. He hasn't changed. He is with us, for us and He will walk closely with us in this troubled time.
He never said, "You will not get ill" or "you will have no problems" in this world.
He said, "And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age".  Matthew 28:20
He invites us to tell him our worries & cast them upon him.  He will carry that burden.  Will we let him?
Our God is Almighty - he has power to heal & change seemingly impossible situations.
When Satan tempts us to despair (have no hope), turn our eyes upward and see Him, who suffered on the cross that we might have eternal life with our Holy God.
I pray that my friend may be healed,  and more - that she and her family will come closer than ever to the Lord in this time, be developed in their faith & security & hope in the One who knows all our suffering.
Yes, we really can trust Jesus.
