On Sunday the sermon was very helpful again, and Ste mentioned, "Have you got a conversion story - can you tell me what happened when Jesus came into your life & started changing you from the inside?" (paraphrase) among other good stuff from Rev 14. Especially the Lord harvesting the righteous with His sickle, swish, and the unrighteous, swish. (swish, swish is the sickle going twice) and then the gory blood flood.
(Rev 14 v 14-20)
Straight from church to dinner with some lovely folks who love us & hate the Lord.
I want them to be saved!
I have shared the gospel with them, they didn't want any.
There's no time to waste! Life is eternal, these precious folks will live forever & I want it to be in eternal joy, not damnation!
While we were there it became ever clearer who/what their gods are & what their gods demand.
It was a bit awful. Mouth shut, Me. Cos I am a sinner & judging these people is not my job.
Later we had our first devotion from our new book:
Thoughts to make your heart sing
(And it is absolutely gorgeous on every page)
Well, much prayer from mum before the devotion) and it went really well. First page is about how the Lord designed our hearts & relationships to work beautifully when they are centred around Him, and how that's all gone wrong. A kid mentioned not being sure if they had a conversion story, so we talked about how we consistently need to pray, repent, & turn to him, so did a little prayer together of that nature. We discussed the behaviours our family is struggling with, in the light of this page and the folks we had just been with. Precious miracle! Sometimes just getting them into a room with a bible in is soooooo hard!
Then I have put my foot down & everybody has to get together at 7.30am for a devotion out of this book. We did so yesterday morn. It went well.
Please pray for us in this- we have sooo struggled to have a family bible/prayer time in mornings. It is very hard as we are not all on the same time schedule.
Thanks to the Living Lord for loving us through thick & thin
p.s. Fred's behaviour has been significantly different yesterday & we had a nice quiet day including some good home schooling time.
Thanks Lord!
