Aww... it's 9.30am, Boxing Day. I'm in bed catching up with my bloggy friends, and upstairs comes my DH with a tray for me: a tea, an orange juice, a buttered crumpet & a plate of 2 cheeses with yellow pepper & tomato! Mmmm!
Let me tell you briefly how yesterday went.
All up & unwrapping presents at 7am, Then playing, & knitting a doll's jumper (me).
Had a lovely excited, smiley service with our church family, brought back a friend for a cuppa before Dinner, all made by my DH, then we settled to lego sets & naps, and for me & the girls some playing of Farm Frenzy 3 on the new 2nd hand computer we've been given. It's in Lola's room, cos she had space.
Went to DH's mum's at 5, the house was packed! It's a small 2-bed house with, at one point, 19 people & a little dog in there!
My nephews & niece have grown & are so sweet & gorgeous! We had a laugh, met my youngest bro-in-law's new girlfriend, (Horrified to realise, age-wise I could be her mum!) thankfully there was not too much Drama! My mum-in-law did well, she has only just got over a serious flu. My bro-in-law who provides the drama, was kept occupied on an internet poker site, wearing a V for Vendetta mask!
Whatever works!
And now we have three days, with DH off, and Nothing to do and Nowhere to be! Bliss!
We will all see the Hobbit, possibly tomorrow. But hey - I've got 5 new balls of wool to knit & Lola's new Liv Doll needs sweaters!
I'm thankful for all our gifts, food, family & a little free time & rest.
Thanks Lord.
