We got most of the things on our list.. Been in Grin (Ground floor of Grand Central - used to be a methodist meeting hall. Now it's full of vintage / goth / emo type shops & alternative little market stall thingies. "Fred! if you see any swearing, look away!"
I'm a little surprised the methodists had such a snazzy big building,
since they were so serious about helping the poor & getting alongside the unfortunate, rather than having huge fancy churches. (to my knowledge)
Lola picked out the 3-layers of net underskirt, that she is having for christmas. We got Freddy some pan-pipes in there too(!)
Then John Lewis for some wool (for me), some red, green & white felt as we are going to make large stockings to hang for the kids.
Went in the new Harvey Nicks food market, bought a gift in there. BHS, Asda... all the classy shops!
We were gone from about 10 til 4 and I had my (slightly) heeled boots on, my feet are quite killing ! Now Lola is making some ham&cheese pastry things to take to church tonight.
We had lunch in pizza hut. I've probably mentioned this before, but Lola said while we were eating, "This isn't such a treat since we've been eating more natural food" Yes.
A nice day out, I hope we didn't spend too much! And it is SO easy to get caught up in the consumer spirit on a day like this.
I'm very thankful to God that we can buy our children the presents they asked for (within reason!)
Tomorrow we are visiting my mum-in-law, I haven't seen her for ages, apparently she's been laid quite low with a flu.
