Friday was wonderful weather, so after completing our computer-based subjects, (learning a hymn and maths), we made a picnic together and off we cycled towards Woolton. We went down Hillfoot Road, and as R asked "What hill is this the foot of?" I pointed out Camp Hill, and we decided to have our picnic there instead. I have never been before, because from the road it looks exactly like a sloping field. No interest whatsoever. All I know is, people sledge there in winter. Well we pushed our bikes halfway up & had our language lessons & reading book there with our picnic. It was blazing sun. then we wondered among the trees & discovered there is a proper bit of park, a sunken garden, and a walled garden. We cycled all along the top and it brought us out at Woolton. We nipped to the Tesco there for an ice-cream & got along home. I got a bit sun burned!
