In work at the Noah's on Monday was fun, we got there about 9.30am which is the earliest for us, as I usually get the children up after Lola has gone to school. It was a really fun day, we are all a little more settled into our roles & routines, I got to chat with plenty of customers, and listened to a couple of sad life stories. The Lord can change these stories if we will let Him in!
I tried to live up to all my role in the cafe which is serving, cleaning the tables as people come & go but also cleaning every single chair & sweeping & mopping the room, which is quite large. It is quite a lot of work for one person and my arms were so heavy that evening.
Then a student gave me a little drum lesson afterwards. Yay!
Tuesday we went to GAP as usual, there were four christian mums there this week, which is adding a new dimension to the meet-up. We are going to start something specific for christian home edders.
Again at GAP there was a new mix of different people, all friendly. It is quite refreshing.
Cycling back from GAP will always take us by McDonald's, which is a temptation we will probably always succumb to! And then we had to have a look in WHSmith. I got "The Death of Eli Gold", David Baddiel's latest novel. I love his books. Yes I bought a book! I have sort of given up buying books in general (except if they are for home ed) as every time I sit down with a book, I realise I have some reading to do for BSF, or a Sunday school lesson to prepare, or a tax credits form to fill in.... you get the picture! But next week is the Last BSF Of The Year, so I know I will have a little book-reading time over the next 3 months!
Today I am going to look after little Matilda (17 months) as her mum's not feeling too well.
