Bank Holiday Monday - a bit of maths.

Yes, I made Ruby do maths on bank holiday Monday! Well she has come to the end of the first chapter of her maths book. I was a bit disappointed as it wasn't as easy going as I imagined (We picked maths first cos she's good at it and enjoys it!) And immediately I started worrying about having to pay out ££100's for an IGCSE maths course, or wondering if she is to young....thousands of worries spin around your head...this is all my fault, she would have been better off in school....
Anyway after a little prayer & a reminder of the truth: The Lord is with us, Robin is very capable of studying & I am capable of working out some revision & tasks for her....
I went through the chapter, asking written questions about all the maths terms I personally do not understand: dividend, divisor, integer, factor, prime number, factor tree, factorising process, HCF, LCM, prime factorisation, Euclid's method, OOH there are lots!
And she wrote pretty good explanations of them all. So that brought back some confidence !

She gets her certificate for completing the first chapter & also she has "earned" 50% of a sylvanian families pushchair!
Maybe I would have tried a little harder at maths if I'd been offered such riches! (umm... probably not)

In the afternoon Paulie, Jojo, Fred & I cycled to Hale Park, it was lovely weather & peaceful.
Wonderful!
