Back to School for Jojo

Yes, I spoke with our primary school today and Jojo is returning to school on Monday 25th June. It is with mixed feelings I do this, obviously I have LOVED having him at home and he has LOVED being here! But I believe he is better suited to learning at school.  Unlike his brother & sister, he has never settled into a good attitude towards learning at home.  By all accounts he has always shown a good attitude to learning at school!  And I feel I am "getting somewhere" with Ruby & Fred, but with Jojo it has been all play. So back he goes to his lovely teacher, his friends & regular routines!

As BSF has finished for the summer I have decided to teach the children a few hymns which have been the most meaningful to me.  We are starting with "Before the throne of God above".  They get a biscuit every day for learning a new line, we have youtube to provide the music, and I am using this page to show which bible verse each line pertains to.

My favourite verse is,
When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.

But I also love

One in Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ my Savior and my God! 

I have found it very helpful, especially, "When satan tempts me with despair, and tells me of the guilt within"

It helps me focus on the truth of my Salvation - nothing I have done or haven't done.

The truth is what HE has done.

And HE HAS DONE IT!
