On Monday afternoon we went to help Anthony & Elaine unpack their moving van. They had just arrived from Worcester. It was fun, I unpacked all the kitchen boxes into the cupboards. It was a bit chaotic as there were about 16 children in the house, i'm not sure if I would like that on the day I moved in! But I suppose it got everything unpacked in a couple of hours.
We have a dinner rota this week for them - I'm cooking tomorrow, so they can settle in.
I may pop round today to say Hi.
They have a very nice 4-bed, 2 bathroom house with a reasonably large garden, a garage and parking for two cars, at the other end of Speke, facing Hale & the countryside. It's right on the end of the runway, but they'll soon learn to ignore the frequent, deafening noise! We all do.
It was very windy during the night and I assumed the chicken house would be blown over. So I prayed for protection for them. It was blown over, the chickens were pecking around the back door step as usual this morning. They seem okay. I will get some tent pegs today to anchor their home down!
Yesterday we met up with 5 other christian home educating families at Speke Hall, we did the tour and had a picnic. It was lovely to spend time together. My son didn't enjoy it except for the billiards they let you have a go of. Ruby spent time with the teen girls, so I was happy with our day.
Then my lovely E & O came over for a chat, we are so busy these days we hardly meet. It's good to catch up!
