Friday in Southport

Friday we wanted to go out. We decided to go to Port Sunlight - I took the girls there when they were quite young and they don't remember. In the taxi to the train station it started raining quite hard & we changed our plans. So got straight on the train to Southport - we knew the group from GAP were meeting at Playtown there, a soft play place, to give the home edders from north Liverpool an opportunity to meet somewhere closer to home. We had picnic  & I read aloud our Sonlight History lesson on the train. We had a reduced group rate into Playtown & all I bought was a cuppa tea. We met some new home edders, Freddy had fun on the soft play with little Gabriel. Our reduced ticket was til 2.30, and as it was nearly warm, we went to the beach.  We spent a little while there - the sun was shining so prettily off the water. Then we walked to the end of the pier, avoiding the spooky old "laughing sailor" machine. And took the little pier tram back up.
We had fun in a quiet way!

update: one of our chicks has begun making a little clucking noise instead of cheeping. Aww!
