Country visit with complete strangers!

After exchanging a few emails, My 2 pupils & I headed off on two buses today to the home of a complete stranger. B, the pregnant mum of 4 daughters age 2-8 and a home edder. They lived in a flat in the Home Farm of a Posh Country Estate outside Liverpool.  On a yahoo group, i'd offered to teach home edders to knit sox, and she spins yarn, also the family drink Raw milk, which i wanted to try. So we arranged to go there.
Just 2 hours travel and we arrived - had to key in a code at the gatehouse... very posh there's pheasants and such around... They were a lovely christian family, hoping to go back to the land, as it seems so many christians are being led now. We chatted, got to know each other & i showed her some knitting, while the kids drew & played boardgames. We had honey biscuits made by her mum.
Then we had lunch, then went for a lovely walk, her husband joined us from work.
The day went quickly, the family were quite charming. Little E (4?) took a liking to my Freddy & was trying to kiss him as we left. They gave us a lift back to the bus station to shorten our return journey.
Came back to find my mum-in-law, Laurie & my little nephew having a go with the chicks. Ahh!
