2nd hand shops galore! in Widnes

Sunday afternoon we finally visited at the home of K, one of the original two home educating mums who encouraged me to take the plunge into homeschool!  She has 5 kids, two are grown, one is at GCSE stage and she has 2 cute little 'uns. Ruby & I had a super time mixing with them and another christian homeschooling family who came. It was very fun and encouraging, and we talked about all kinds of things!

Monday Morning: I felt like doing a day trip, i looked up all the details for St Helens World Of Glass. It looked good, it's inside (still freezing winds here, tho' the snow is mostly melted away). So got people up & ready... then, remembering a bank appt at 4pm we realised st Helens is too far away for our time frame and went to Catalyst science museum instead. It was closed! So plodded into Widnes for a fun day browsing the 20ish 2nd-hand shops there. Great fun & had lunch in the Albert Grill.

Then to Matalan & Barnardo's with the girls after school for some essentials & Lola's snacks for her sleepover at Liverpool University this week.
