On Monday we were in Noah's to help prepare and serve at Welcum Club, the senior's lunch club.
I have done it before plenty of times, but this week i was really aware of how hard it is to serve senior citizens patiently if they are determined not to be satisfied!
I went through quite a gamut of emotions and realised I need prayer even for this simple sounding job, so that my THOUGHTS, words & actions will reflect God's amazing love to the pensioners.
On Tuesday Fred had his orthotics replaced at Alder Hey, Bizzarely my other son Jojo had NEVER BEEN to Alder Hey before! I go an average of once a week, it's like a second home to mums of large families so that tickled me!
Wednesday we had the women's group, i give a an amateur explanation of a little portion of bible, & we chat, catch up & support each other over a cuppa.
I wanted to help at the inaugural Tea Dance that afternoon, but i remembered we have a HOME and FAMILY that I am supposed to care for (!) and so came home for a while to deal with the mountain of washing, and spent an hour with my lovely next-door neighbour. We go over motherhood issues & pray, What a quality neighbour!
Then cycled back to the Noah's to clean up after the tea-dance. I hear it went well & I hope to attend as well next time!
Thank The Lord for all these jobs, the energy & encouragement of my fellow workers x
