We had the Fun Day - And it was fun indeed!
I don't know where to begin as it was such a FULL, action-packed day! We had all the usual activities such as BBQ, kid's games, face painting, bouncy castle, stalls featuring local agencies, a cake stall run by a lovely young local girl who recently survived cancer, she raised £277 for Alder Hey oncology, loads of smiles & conversations were had! There seemed to be thousands of people attending! The building was full to bursting at all times, various christian friends dropped in for a tour, The miracle is how the Lord kept us all safe and sound, as we are quite a small team running a huge operation! My two girls got into the spirit of serving, they worked hard at looking after Jane's 3 youngest so she could paint kid's faces flat-out for 4 hours! Everything was free.
There was a little bit of aggro come the end with about 20 youngish kids who wanted to ruin things but thankfully The Lord was looking after us!
I was high from it all for about 4 hours afterwards & now I am fully awake again at nearly 3am.
Sooo.... tomorrow we have a guest service, lunch in church & then a Dedication service at 3.30 for neighbouring churches to attend & see what the Lord has built in Speke for His purposes.
I mainly ran errands, did a bit of childcare, tidying, giving people a tour including our labour MP Maria Eagle, smiled, and invited people to church. Again, the legs are giving out!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
