No pics again I'm afraid, cos I swapped phones with Ruby.
Yesterday Fred had swimming as usual - going really well, and then we went to this Daisy Uk club thingy (it's in the same buiilding). www.daisyuk.com is a charity for including disabled and non-disabled people together. Apparently they were on Secret Millionaire once! They are providing sports and fun 5-7pm on a Wednesday for age 8-18. It started last week, Fred finished swimming at 5:30 & also Olivia (8) gets delivered to me then. So we tried it out. We did some disability-awareness stuff, like having blindfolds on and catching a jingly ball. Also played parachute games etc. Fred really enjoyed it & only "went wrong" / got into a bit of a temper during the last 10 mins. After almost 2 hours of sports activities!!! amazing!
so as we approached the Pool this week we prayed for Fred's positive attitude & participation - he knows he can only do this in Christ!
He had a great time again - they did curling & hockey... each game/activity is only about 3-6 minutes long and the team, the Daisy UK workers & volunteers are very gentle & patient, while being quite fun, they are mostly men. It is great to see Fred engaging in so much physical activity & interacting with other children at the same time. So Big Tick for PE on the home edding front, but much better is the social/attitude side of it.
Thanks to God!
Also I am loving being back at BSF. Jojo & Ruby are attending with me this year.
It's the book of Matthew. We've just looked at Jesus's baptism and temptation in the desert with emphasis oh Jesus' dealing with temptation in a fully human way, depending on the Holy Spirit and truth we have learnt from scripture. an example to follow! I was quite challenged about a couple of things I do that "aren't technically wrong..." to see my attitude, not the action, as sinful & to follow His example.
YAY!
