Busy, lovely days and Genesis 39

Well! We've been quite busy. 

Friday, Lola had a day off school, 

so four of us took the three buses to Ikea. 

Our budget only stretched to the bus fares and lunch, 

and we actually only spent about an hour there (!) 

because I needed to be back by 3.20 to collect Fred's friend from School... But we did enjoy ourselves!

His friend came and played PS3 with him all evening.

 Lola slept over at E & O's.

 This left Ruby & I at 9pm deciding to watch Twilight - 

I had got it for a quid second hand 

and we were awaiting a suitable evening to watch it. 

We had doritos, lemo & fudge. 

We did really laugh uproariously all through the film, 

so in one sense it was quite good!

You know, after you've been in Ikea, you start to dream of lovely bedrooms & kitchen cupboards....

Well I said to the girls - what would you like? 

Try to make a free version of it! 

Go under the stairs, choose an old tin of paint,

 & paint your room, or something.

So Ruby & I did. there was mid blue, light blue, white, light brown, light sand and light pink paints. 

we mixed the mid blue & pink to a lilac, found 1 roller & 1 brush, and got painting R's room. We did one wall in the light brown. 

One coat on Friday night and another saturday morn.

Today was lovely, warm & sunny. 

 I did some weed & bramble clearing, watched chicks for a while, visited Liz & Bri recovering from Bri's hip operation. 

 There was home made pecan toffee cake!

Had tea and got invited to PW's for a bbq/sitting around their firepit with a cuppa & friends. LOVELY! 

R & I stayed til 11. I can still smell the smoke on my cardi. 

mm smoky! I love fires!

After what I said about leaving BSF, 

i had the most wonderful study this morning!

 It was Genesis 39. This is what I learned today:

I am blown away by the God of Genesis 39!

When you walk in His ways, He showers you with blessings.

He will NEVER leave you.

Whatever is going on in your life, HE is going on in your life!

Learn His laws & preferences so you always know how to obey Him, and He will give you success in whatever you do. 

He doesn't want you to be afraid or worried, He is always with you.

You have a faithful Father. Practice acknowledging His presence.

When tempted to sin - speak aloud that it is sin, and RUN THE OTHER WAY! - 

He will help you to flee.

Trust Him in hard times and He will prove Himself to you.

I have found all this to be true in my life. 

Thank you LORD!
