The whole Aspergers thing

Fred has been diagnosed with "a complex and subtle form" of Aspergers, which in turn is on the Autistic Spectrum.
He is 8 years old, is healthy & able, even rather intelligent. He does well academically in school, so what's the problem?
He doesn't understand social ways and has not been able to make a friend.
He refuses to write - altho he loves to read...
He has anger problems which includes shouting, arguing and hitting out at anyone nearby when he gets wound up.
He walks very high on his toes, he has carbon fibre inserts in his shoes & he wears night splints to bed. At one point they put his legs in plaster, toe to knee, and said it would be for 6 weeks. They came off a week later. Not sure why really.
There are hundreds of little things, which are a bit of a struggle for him. That would never occur to a normal  person.

Also. My precious Ruby, (12)...my lovely daughter. I think she has it too. She has her first paediatrician appointment in March. She has a completely different set of symptoms / issues than Fred. Mainly based around shyness / social understanding / anxiety.

We are in the Lord's hands!
